I. First calculate the number of pigs raised
1、Only fattening
Annual output of 100-200 pigs, there are two modes of pig rearing, one is just a fattening farm, annual output of 100-200 pigs, can raise two batches a year, that means a batch of pigs about 50-100 pigs, then according to the scale of the farm in the same period of time to accommodate 50-100 fat pigs to calculate the site, capital and equipment.
2、Sow self-breeding
The second mode is to raise sows, self-propagation, 100-200 pigs per year, corresponding to the number of sows is normally 20:1, but taking into account the level of rural pig raising, according to a sow annual output (MSY) 18 head calculation, the number of breeding sows in the same period for 6-12, then according to the size of the farm in the same period to accommodate 6-12 sows to calculate the site, funds and equipment, while building maternity wards, nursery and fattening house.
Summarize: for pure fattening, you need to build according to the scale of 50-100 heads; for self-breeding, you need to build according to the scale of 6-12 sows. In order to make the calculation easier, we calculate the capital, site and equipment according to the annual output of 200 fat pigs, that is, 100 fattening farms and 12 sows farms.
