Reasons Why Pigs Fight During Large-scale Pig Breeding

Fights between pigs often occur during large-scale pig breeding. Although fights among pigs are not a big deal, they will increase the difficulty of management and cause certain harm to the pigs. For example, there will be disabled pigs, sick pigs, and fighting. Serious cases can also lead to the death of pigs. Therefore, we need to understand the reasons and take corresponding preventive measures.

1. Pig fights caused by feed

Feeding moldy feed during pig breeding will not only lead to a decrease in pig feed intake, but also cause indigestion, chronic poisoning and other symptoms in the body, and can easily induce fights between pigs.

2.Individual differences among pigs

Keeping pigs of different sizes in the same pen may cause the big pigs to bully the small pigs and fight.

3. Abuse of feed additives

The abuse of feed additives is extremely likely to increase the burden on the liver and kidneys of pigs. In severe cases, it may even lead to endocrine system disorders, metabolic disorders, mental state problems, and fights among pigs.
