Pig farm drinking tips

1. Health problems: insufficient drinking water will lead to insufficient water in the pig's body, which will easily lead to dehydration, resulting in health problems such as elevated body temperature, breathing difficulties and digestive problems, which may lead to the death of the pig in severe cases.

2. Limited growth and development: insufficient drinking water will affect the pig's appetite and digestion and absorption function, but also affect bone development and muscle growth, resulting in slow weight growth, affecting breeding benefits.

3. Decreased immunity: Insufficient drinking water will lead to decreased immunity of pigs, increase the risk of diseases, and may lead to the spread of epidemics and economic losses in severe cases.

4. Increased group fighting and pressure: insufficient drinking water will lead to a shortage of drinking water resources in the pig herd, resulting in fighting and competition between pigs, resulting in abnormal behavior, group instability and other problems.

5. Decreased production efficiency: insufficient drinking water of pigs will lead to a decrease in the digestibility and absorption rate of feed, increase the feed conversion rate and reduce the breeding efficiency.

Drinking water according to the physiological characteristics of pigs!

Pigs need to drink 2-5 kg of water for every 1 kg of dry feed they eat. The drinking water of pigs in winter is slightly lower, and 2-4 kg of water is required for every 1 kg of dry feed. In spring and autumn, pigs need 8 kg of water for every 1 kg of dry feed they eat. In summer, pigs need 10 kg of water for every 1 kg of dry feed they eat. Lactating sows require more water. Therefore, whether the pig friends feed compound feed or mixed feed, it is necessary to meet the basic physiological needs of pigs to drink water, and it is best to match some juicy green feed while feeding compound feed.
